California requires 30/60/15. Monge quotes that and everything above it.
Auto coverage you can explain back to someone. Monge compares options across multiple carriers, says plainly what each limit does, and handles the vehicle paperwork in the same visit.
California minimum car insurance is 30/60/15: $30,000 of bodily injury liability per person, $60,000 per accident, and $15,000 of property damage liability. Those limits have applied to every policy issued or renewed since January 1, 2025 under California Senate Bill 1107, which replaced the 15/30/5 minimum that had stood for 56 years. They are scheduled to rise again to 50/100/25 in 2035.
Liability is what the state requires. It pays for the other driver, never for your own car. Collision and comprehensive are what pay for yours.

Questions people ask
What is the minimum car insurance required in California?
California requires 30/60/15: $30,000 of bodily injury liability per person, $60,000 per accident, and $15,000 of property damage liability. These limits took effect January 1, 2025 under Senate Bill 1107, replacing the previous 15/30/5 minimum.
What is the difference between liability and full coverage?
Liability pays for the other driver's injuries and property. Full coverage adds collision, which pays to repair your own car after an accident, and comprehensive, which covers theft, fire, vandalism and weather. Liability alone will not repair your vehicle.
Do I need full coverage in California?
The state only requires liability. A lender or leasing company almost always requires full coverage for as long as they have an interest in the vehicle.
How much does car insurance cost in Bloomington?
There is no single answer: the price depends on your driving record, the vehicle, who else drives it, and the limits you choose. Call (909) 440-5999 and Monge will quote your actual situation rather than an average.
Can I get car insurance with a foreign driver's license?
Some carriers accept a foreign license and some do not. Bring the license to the Bloomington office and Monge will tell you which carriers will write it.
Can Monge insure a car registered to someone else?
It depends on the carrier and the situation. Bring the registration and Monge will walk through which carriers allow it.
What happens if I drive without insurance in California?
Driving without the required coverage can mean fines, vehicle impoundment and a suspended registration, and it is one of the situations that leads to an SR-22 filing.
Do I need an appointment for an auto quote?
No. Call (909) 440-5999 or stop by the Bloomington office. Having your license, current policy and vehicle information ready makes it faster.
